Ahmed Bullock

Birth:1924
Death:2018

Ahmed Roy Bullock was a respected British Muslim, Arabic and Hebrew scholar and dealer in books. He was a graduate of Pembroke College, and would thus have encountered the great Arabic and Persian scholar - and translator of the Quran - Arthur John Arberry. This may have influenced Ahmed Bullock in finding the path to Islam, perhaps after World War II.

Ahmed Bullock helped in founding the Bath Street Mosque in Oxford. The East London Mosque Archives collection has a one page letter Shaikh Ahmed sent to a researcher, dated 5 May 1990 in his hand. It considers the Arabic and Hebrew translation of the word Ashura and Tasua. The top of the page has the mark XX with the number 62 a line below on the right.
