A mystic Punjabi poet Mystic poet who urged his audience to live their lives without hurting anyone's feelings Ghulam Moheyddin Moonas Naqshi believed in the higher values of life and reminded his readers of the lives hereafter to answer for their deeds. In 1959, his book, Zarb-i-Hussain that paid homage to Hazrat Imam Hussain and his disciples who gave great sacrifices at Karbala, was published. His son, Dr Rasheed Amjad, a celebrated Urdu short story writer, got the contents of his father's diaries published, in 2008, into a book, Naqshi-i-Khayal. Ghulam Moheyddin Moonas was born in Amritsar and was a carpet weaver by profession.
