Over 200,000 participated in a march on Saturday 17 February 2024, from Marble Arch to the vicinity of the Israel Embassy in Kensington, superbly organised by the Palestine Solidarity Committee (PSC). The repeated call was for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza. Speakers at the rally at the end of the march included Ben Jamal of the PSC and Leanne Mohamad, who is standing against Wes Streeting (Labour) for the Ilford North seat at the next General Election. The march had contingents from various trade unions, faith groups and disparate civil society bodies, all seeking for urgent action to end another Srebrenica in the making.
