The march calling for a ceasefire in Gaza stretched over 3 miles in its passage from Hyde Park corner in London, across Vauxhall Bridge and to the US Embassy.
It was the demonstration of a lifetime, bringing together almost a million Britons from London and other cities, with their families and young ones. Thanks to a clement break in an otherwise week of poor weather, the assembly was good natured and peaceful, Among the popular powerful banners and slogans: “Palestine, Palestine do not cry, we will never let you die”, “What do want? Justice. When do want it? Now!”.
