Author. Ibn Babawayh was the author of one of the four books that were the basic authorities for the Ithna Ashari Shias. He contributed to many works, but only a few were extant, among them is Risalat al Itiqadat. Ibn Babawayh was born in Kharasan he came to Baghdad in 966 during the Boyid dynasty because of their Shiite inclination.
