A Persian poet from Kashmir. Mulla Tahir Ghani was the greatest Persian poet produced by Kashmir and is famous worldwide. He lived saintly and is admired by Allama Iqbal for his love for Kashmir. Mulla Ghani Kashmiri is famous for his book of odes called Diwan Ghani and had penned: Ghani rooz-e-siyahay peer-e-kanaan ra tamasha shud ki nooray deeda ush roveshan kunad chashme zulaikha ra Mulla Tahir Ghani lies buried at Hassanabad, Rainawari, Srinagar.
