The writer and historian, known in the West as the cultural historian of Muslim South Asia. Aziz joined Toronto University, Canada, as associate Professor of Islamic Studies. Wrote many Urdu novels including Gurez. During his stay in Canada he wrote many books in English on Islamic culture and obtained D.Litt., and FRCS degree from there and became a fellow of the Royal Society. Aziz was born at Hyderabad.
