Specialist in Arab affairs Upholding the legitimate aspiration of the Arab people denied by autocratic Arab governments Foulath Hadid condemned European imperialism and American hegemony that supported such regimes. He raised funds to establish an annual award to support doctoral students in Middle Eastern studies at St. Antony, England. Hadid was elected to an Honorary Fellowship in 2004, and the Hadid Room, the College's meeting room, was named in his honour. Born in Baghdad Foulath Hadid grew up and influenced by his family of prominent politician. Studied in Egypt, he went to Cambridge, England and studied Law and to Harvard where he did business study. Being a Fellow member of the Institute of Chartered Accountant of England & Wales Foulath Hadid opened Arthur Young's office in Beirut and rose to become Partner in Peat, Marwick and Mitchell.
