Pakistan's all-rounder cricketer A highly talented all-rounder, known for the style and spirit in which he played, Wasim Raja represented Pakistan in 57 Tests and 54 one-day internationals cricket matches. A tall, dashing-looking man with a magnificent moustache Wasim with his raised collar, countless undone buttons, sleeves neatly rolled up that bit further than anyone else's appeared majestic while descending the pavilion steps. Born Wasim Hasan Raja in Multan in the family of first-class cricket players, from his father down to his two brothers, made his debut at the age of 15. He collapsed and died while playing cricket for Surrey over-50s at Marlow in Buckinghamshire in England.
