A modern face of Pakistan. Maleeha Lodhi's rise from academia, journalism and to diplomacy is extra-ordinary. Her tenure as Lecturer, London School of Economics (1980-85) to Editor, The Muslim, Islamabad, (1987-90), to Editor, The News, Islamabad (1990-93), to Pakistan's Ambassador to the US (1994-97), to Editor, The News (1997-99), and to Pakistan's Ambassador to the US (1999-2002). She is currently Pakistan's High Commissioner to Britain, in London, since 2003. She believes that Britain's heritage of empire makes it to understand other nations and other people better than other countries. Maleeha Lodhi is divorced with one son.
