A lawyer and politician.
Sir Sultan Ahmed vice-chancellor of Patna University (1923-30) was included as a delegate, from British India, to Round Table Conference (1930-31) in London.
He joined the Viceroy's Executive Council (1941-43) and took up his residence at 6 King Edward Road (the residence is now occupied by India's vice-president and the road has been renamed Maulana Azad Road) in Delhi.
Sir Sultan was also Advisor to the Chamber of Princes (1945-47) in India.
Sir Sultan's grandson, Syed Tanvirul Hasan's 'Freedom and Partition and Seasons Changed' (ISBN 81-311-0121-5) records the 'Life and Times of Sir Sultan Ahmed'.
Sir Sultan Ahmed hailed from Patna, India.
