The Japanese who became a Muslim at the age of 26 and devoted rest of his long life in the service of Islam.
Mustafa was a wealthy man who travelled extensively abroad. He set up a number of Muslim schools, research institute and other organisations and remained actively involved.
Mustafa helped translation of the Qur'an into Japanese. His book, History of Islam, is used as a work of reference in universities, and his tafsir on the Qur'an is immensely useful.
Al-haj Muhammad Mustafa Komura's crowning achievement came in 1977 when the Osaka Mosque was opened.
