Shah Mir

The title of Sultan Shamsuddin, the first Muslim king of Kashmir.
He was the prime minister of Raja Ranjan, and when the Raja died his son retained his position. But during the course of time Raja became jealous of his power and forbade him to come to the court.
Shah Mir rebelled against the Raja and in 1314 ascended the throne. His family ruled over Kashmir till Akbar annexed it in 1572.
