Mehmet Fuat Koprulu

Death:1966

A Turkish historian, statesman and scholar. Fuat belonged to the famous Korpulu family and was the founder of the institute of Turkology. He entered politics in 1936 and became foreign minister (1950-54). Fuat Korpulu authored the First Mystics in Turkish literature and Les Origines de Lim Pire Ottoman 1935.

Congratulations for an excellent job done ýn the preparation of biographical notes of Muslim leaders. Please make sure that the spellings of these illuminaries are in the accepted form. Also, please double chech date entries. The correct form of spelling for this Turkish gentleman is KÖPRÜLÜ. I belýeve that he along wýth Adnan Menderes and Ruþtu Zorlu were hanged by the Turkish military after the 1960 coup.
