Muhammad Aly Rangoonwala

Death:1998

Businessman. Muhammad Aly set up the first toothpaste and cosmetic factories in newly established Pakistan and owned group of companies. Muhammad Aly drafted the Pakistan Trade Bodies Ordinance 1960, and played an important role in the International Chamber of Commerce and dealt with regulations affecting international arbitration and trade. Muhammad Aly was also a philanthropist. He was awarded Pakistan's Sitara-i-Khidmat, Germany's Das Grosse Verdien Kreutz and Businessman's Award from Stanford Research Institute. Muhammad Aly was born in Memon family in Rangoon, Burma. In 1946, he moved to Pakistan leaving behind his successful business in India.
