Final Solution - Massacres in India
Shows the massacres of Muslims in Gujarat in 2002 by India's Hindu Fundamentalist combine ledby Narendra Modi the Chief Minister. Alarmingly, Modi is now gunning for the post of India's Prime Minister.
Indian Muslims are likely to feature prominently in the on-going elections in the country. Their views are coloured by the institutional discrimination in India highlighted by the Government commissioned Justice Sachar Report. The 2002 riots in Gujarat, which resulted in the brutal massacres of over 2,000 Muslims in a Hindu fundamentalist pogrom is also fresh in their minds. The Muslims comprising over 15% of Indiaís population can deny both Congress and the Hindu fundamentalist BJP a majority of the seats.
The architect of the Gujarat pogroms was Narendra Modi. Modi has been Chief Minister of Gujarat state and is seen as BJPís heir apparent once the old guard led by L K Advani is gone. Modi has been indicted by Indiaís Supreme Court and investigations of his role in the Gujarat riots are on-going. At the instigation of TIE USA Modi has also been denied visit visa to the USA on account of his involvement in the Gujarat riots.
The Hindu fundamentalist BJP is contesting the election under its Hindutva banner and may yet elect Modi as its leader in the near future. If a weak coalition comes to power in India, the aftermath can herald in an extremist Hindu fundamentalist coalition in four yearís time.
The BJP has already got close ties to Israel. As Modi gets near power he is being courted by many Indian businessmen like the Ambanis. He is also trying to visit Britain and the USA and court the West. Israel may facilitate Modiís entry into the USA. Britain and Europe are likely to ignore Modiís crimes against humanity and court him if he looks like getting near to leading India.
