How silly I feel to only now become aware of the shallowness of my grasp on the creative impulse undergirding the arts and crafts of Muslims, focused as I have been on merely the decorative aspects of objects themselves as metaphors for the triumph of the individual over the sometimes harsh and cruel reality of being. While I may have considered it possible that a great carpet work could be the result of divine inspiration it never occurred to me that a carpet’s beauty might come not from the inspired artistic, creative or ethnic genius of the maker , but from Islam itself.
Who authored this remarkable treatise?
I want to know if this theme will stay on your web site indefinitely or whether it is likely to be removed in the near future. If you plan to remove it, then I intend to print it and keep a copy on my bedstand to read and re-read with regularity.

of the best that I have seen. Apart from the fact that there is information
in abundance- the TAFSIR section is brilliant. I find it a treat to
download on a daily basis tafsir per surah - the fact that I can download it
straight on to my ipod is even better. Once I have completed downloading each one, then my true Ibadat for
Ramadan will begin...

You have a very good website. Lately, I have been painting with acrylic paints on canvas, and just used a design from the Alhambra, which we visited about 2 years ago. Perhaps this will be a good niche. Islamic artists do not concentrate on paintings, and many Western people do not recognize or fully appreciate Arabic or Islamic patterns. Thank you for your efforts.

Just a suggestion, but as a new revert to Islam, (for which, Allah be praised), what I would find very helpful would be a theme of the month based perhaps on
reversion, and reverts' experiences, but also, on the basics, such as Salaat or the main festivals - how should one celebrate the various Eid celebrations, what do they entail, what significance do they have, etc. Having said that, may I just say how helpful already I have found your website, and how grateful I am to you for all the hard work you put in to make the Salaam website quite the success it is. Asalaamu Aleikoum, Today was my first visit to salaam so please feel free to take my answers with a pinch of salt. I was a bit disappointed to find that the news articles were only links to other, mainstream sources.
You should put more related islam issues and i need to know about the mahjur , i hope that your websites has an idea about mahjur cos i need to do a project on it. i think that you should put all the things about law or fiqh so that people can come to your websites and look for this things easily
