Bradford Council of Mosques: It seems that we have underestimated the ability of organisations like so called Islamic State to capture the hearts and minds of our young people and turn them into terrorists.

Islamic Foundation, Markfield: Such devastating incidents are a further reminder of the growing need to unite communities and work together to achieve our shared goal of peace and safety for all. We must condemn violence wherever we witness it and remain committed to creating solutions for a safer and stronger world. click here.

Leeds Makkah Masjid: The terrorists who have carried out these horrific attacks want to create a climate of fear and anger in Europe. The heinous crimes of these terrorists must not be allowed to destabilise the good relationships that exist between faith groups and communities within Europe. We must stand firm, with compassion and solidarity, against hatred and violence. We must not play into the divisive and poisonous narrative of extremists. click here.

MABonline (Muslim Association of Britain): MAB condemns the terrorist attacks on Brussels today.

Manchester Council of Mosques: We advise that we must continue to use our pooled resources to identify such cold hearted perpetrators and those who support them and bring them to justice. At the same time we caution against any knee jerk responses including enacting more draconian laws but to continue to maintain our high level of respect for the rule of law whilst being vigilant at this time. We stand in solidarity as one community rejecting all forms of terrorism and we pray that peace will prevail. click here.

Muslim Council of Britain: As we come to terms with yet another attack on European soil, we must redouble our efforts to work together to defeat terrorism wherever it comes from. click here.
