Mosques and Imams Advisory Board (MINAB): This association of imams has proposed a ‘Prayer for the Nation’,  for the Friday congregations (20th November). Its chairman, Imam Shahid Raza, notes ‘The Prayer is an opportunity for British Muslims to express a national identity in our own way. The Prayer asks God to keep Britain a harmonious nation that protects the marginalized, upholds strong moral values and promotes loyalty among our diverse communities. KSIMC, Birmingham: The Khoja Shia Ithna-Asheri Muslim Community at its centre, Mehfil-e-Abbas, is organising a ‘Prayers for Peace’ event, on Tuesday, 17th November.

French Embassy, London: Dr Shuja Shafi, Secretary General of the Muslim Council of Britain,  visited the Embassy to sign the condolence book, Monday 16th November

Waltham Forest Council: The commemorative event takes place this evening, Monday, 16 November at 7.30pm at Waltham Forest Town Hall, Forest Road, Walthamstow, E17 4JF. Federation of Muslim Organisations, Leicester: On Monday 16th November 2015, leading members of Leicester’s Muslim community will come together to unite in the face of murder in the name of religion. Masjid Al Falah in Leicester will be the venue where following lunchtime prayers, an open event will be held where the Chair of the Federation of Muslim Organisations (FMO) and other colleagues will condemn the murderous actions of Daesh – the so called ‘Islamic State’ and call for greater efforts for unity between peacemakers from all religions and beliefs.
