The Muslim Council of Britain’s recently published Fairness, not Favours  is an example of British Muslim engagement with the forthcoming General Election (7th May).  The MCB notes, ‘We highlight a range of issues affecting British Muslims. They are by no means exhaustive. In essence, we seek a compassionate and caring society, one where no groups are left behind through disadvantage and discrimination. We want a society that is vibrant and successful’.

It identifies 10 key pledges which voters are asked to put to the parliamentary candidates that knock on the doorstep in the coming weeks.

Other Muslim groups that have undertaken similar endeavours include MEND and IMCD.
