Sughra Ahmed is Programmes Manager in the Centre for Public Education, Woolf Institute in Cambridge. In November 2013 she was elected President of the Islamic Society of Britain. Previously she worked as a Research Fellow in the Policy Research Centre based at the Islamic Foundation, Markfield, Leicestershire. Her publications include Seen and Not Heard: Voices of Young British Muslims.
Ms Ahmed is a Trustee of the Inter Faith Network UK. She has a BA (Hons) English Language and Literature and an MA Islamic Studies; she is a qualified Chaplain and holds a Diploma in Islamic Jurisprudence
