Khalaf did his doctorate from Cairo University in 1954 and wrote many articles on the Qur’an and Islam. He was the editor of Al Yaqzah al-Arabiya and author of many books including Al-Qur’an wa mushkilat hayatina al mu’asirah, Islam wa al-Usubah etc.
