He went with Timur on many expeditions and after Timur's death he joined his son Shah Rukh (1405-46) as a court historian. Majmua was a collection of three well known works, collected by him. His Majmual Tavarikh was a world history, covering pre-Islamic history of ancient Iran and the Islamic period up to 1258, Iran during the Seljugis and Iran under the Timurid rulers He also translated from Arabic Masalik Al Mamlik, a book on geography. |
