Biographical detail :	King of Afghanistan. Habibullah Khan son of Abdur Rahman succeeded his father in 1901. He was loyal to the British and held out against German emissaries during the first World War. He insisted that his courtiers should wear European dress and tried to introduce western customs amongst his subjects. Habibullah Khan was assassinated.
