Biographical detail : India’s cricketer.

Ghulam Ahmad was the outstanding off-spinner for a decade after the second world war. His easy approach to the crease was a “symphony in motion”. From 1951 to 1957 he held the record for the greatest number of balls bowled in an innings. He was appointed secretary to the Board of Control and the chairman of selectors when India won the World Cup in 1983.

Ghulam Ahmad a mild-mannered, who was born in Hyderabad died of cancer.
