| Biographical detail : | Also known as Ghazi Malik.
Ghiyasuddin ascended the throne of Delhi in 1321 and was the founder of the Tughlaq dynasty in India. He was crushed to death by the fall of a temporary structure built by his son Muhammad Tughlaq in order to welcome him on his return from Lakhnauti in 1325. His son Muhammad Shah Tughlaq I succeeded him. |
