Firishata came to India in 1589 and was commissioned by Ibrahim Adil Shah, King of Bijapur, to write a history of the Muslim dynasties of India. Hence Tarikh I Firishta which was translated into English in 1829 by General Briggs, The History of the rise of Mohammedan power in India, the most valuable storehouse of information connected with the Muslim rulers of India
Firishata Muhammad Qasim was born at Astrabad on the borders of the Caspian sea, he was the son of Ghulam Ali Hindo Shah. |
