Biographical detail :	Politician. Yusuf played an active role in Parti Islam Sa-Malaysia (PAS) in its formation in 1951 and re-orientation in the 1980s. He published bi-weekly Islamic magazine, Al-Israh. He was born in Gelugor, Penang where he died.
