Remaining aloof from the world and firmly refused any diplomatic relations with other countries, Imam Yahya Muhammad Hamidaddin al-Mutawakil Ala Allah, a Zaidi Imam of Yemen from 1904 to 1948, forced the Turks, who were the rulers of Yemen, to recognise his autonomy over Yemen in 1911.
He lost his life in an assassination. |
