| Biographical detail : | Yazid appointed him governor of Kufa in 679. His troops surrounded Hazrat Hassain at Karbala and killed him, his relatives and friends in 680. Ibrahim the commander of Al-Mukhtar, the governor of Kufa killed him, when in 686 he was sent by Abdul Malik to plunder that city. |
