During the World War I Syed Zia Uddin Tabatabai was the editor of Ra'd (thunder) He created a coalition of anti-Communists politicians and led a coup in 1921 and became prime minister. His quarrel with the coup's military leader Raza Khan (who became the Shah of Iran in 1925) forced him into exile.
Syed Zia Uddin Rabatabai returned to Iran in 1941, after the abdication of Raza Shah, and was elected to the parliament in 1942 but he finally faded from active politics after 1951. |
