Name :	Mahmud Shah Baigra
Period :	1441 - 1511
Biographical detail :	The ruler of Gujrat for fifty-five long years. Mahmud had surrounded the city of Ahmadabad by a wall in 1487 and had inscribed on the face of the fortification a sentence in Arabic which meant whosoever was within was safe.
