Bradford-based Charity acts on Fallujah.
The Human Relief Foundation (HRF) has recently launched an Emergency Appeal for
the people camped in areas to the West of Fallujah. Urgent supplies are needed including medical aid, tents, mattresses, food Rations, water pumps and drinking water to help the innocent victims.
HRF has raised already £15000+ via a 'Charity Dinner' held on Saturday 20 November 2004 at the Aakash Restaurant in Cleckheaton. Alhamdulillah more money is still coming in from the same event.
HRF also raised £15000+ through a 3-hour televised live appeal on Sunday 21st November 2004 on Ary Digital (Asian Digital Channel). Two containers were dispatched on the 25th November and a further two are leaving the UK on the 1st December 2004. For further information, contact HRF on 01274 395238/41
HRF Project Coordinator Yousaf Razaq has reported the current humanitarian situation in Iraq has not improved. People of Iraq are continuing to suffer from the collapse of its infrastructure, demolished homes, hospitals and schools. Lawlessness has created anarchy and mayhem, which has spread throughout all areas in Iraq.
The HRF was established in 1991 in response to the first Gulf War. Since conception HRF has worked on numerous projects in over 40 countries. In 2003 HRF received the 'Special Consultative Status' Award from the United Nations in recognition of its expertise in aid delivery across the world.
