Mirza Muhammad Ismail

Death:1959

Indian administrator. Ismail Mirza joined Maharaja of Mysore as private secretary in 1923 and Diwan in 1926-41. He made Mysore and especially Bangalore famous for its gardens and its beauty. He represented Mysore at London's Round Table Conference in 1930-32. Ismail Mirza became prime minister of Jaipur in 1942-46, and prime minister Hyderabad in 1946-47. Sir Ismail was Knighted in 1930 by the British. Ismail Mirza Muhammad who was born in Bangalore authored My Public Life in 1954.
