Hussain Waiz Kashifi

Scholar and writer. Kashifi was the author of a commentary on Qur'an called Tafsir Husaini, Jawahir ul Tafsir Rouzatush Shuhada, Akhlaq Muhsini, Anwar Suheli. The last named was a translation of Pilpay's Fables in Persian, dedicated to Amir Shaikh Ahmad Suheli. Anwar Suheli till recent times was a standard work included in the curriculum of all the schools in the Muslim world. He authored many other books and treatises. Kashifi had also made an abridgement of Rumi's Masnawi, which he named Lubb I, Labab.
