Muhammad Said Abdullah
He is regarded as the father of Swahili popular literature.
He started his career as a journalist and was the editor of several newspapers such as Zanzibar, Al Mahda, Al-Flaq, etc. His success as a fiction writer came in 1957-58 when he won the first prize in the Swahili story writing competition.
He authored In the world there are people (1973), The Secret of the Zero (1974) One wife three husbands (1975), and others.
