A Bangladesh architect.
Fazlur emigrated to USA in 1952, obtained Ph.D. in Structural Engineering in 1955, joined in an architectural firm in Chicago and became its part-owner in 1970.
Fazlur received numerous prestigious awards both in the United States and United Kingdom, Chicagoan of the year in Architecture and Engineering, Constructions Man of the Year Award etc.
Fazlur invented new theories on sky scraper technology and also wrote a few books on structural engineering. He was one of the designers of the World's tallest building, Sears Tower, in Chicago. He designed Jeddah International Airport and King Abdul Aziz University.
Fazlur Rahman Khan was born in Dacca.
