An Indian historian.
He became a courtier of Akbar in 1574. Due to his rift with the prime minister, Abul Fazal, he had to retire.
His Muntakhabul Tawarikh was very critical of Abul Fazal and Akbar. He authored Nama e Khirad Afza, Razm Nama and Tarikh e Alfi and translated the Ramayna into Persian.
