Saudi academic Having spent his academic career focusing on issues of democracy and reform in Saudi Arabian politics, Dr. al-Dakhil's work has been on the need to redefine the history of the nation and, specifically, scritinise the role of Wahhabism as the root of clerical power in the Kingdom. Teaching Political Science at King Saud University in Saudi Arabia after having received his Doctorate from the University of California, Dr. al-Dakhil is also a Visiting Scholar at the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace. Dr. Khalid al-Dakhil is also a regular columnist for al-Ittihad, an Arabic newspaper in the United Arab Emirates.
