Indonesian intellectual A Fellow at the LibFor All Foundation, an organisation founded with the mission of spreading a moderate and tolerant teaching of Islam, Dr. Munir is highly active throughout Indonesia. He has held several leadership positions in Muhammadiyah, an Indonesian Islamic organisation boasting over 30 million members. Having conducted post-graduate research at McGill University in Canada and Nanyang Technological University in Singapore, Dr Munir is the author of over forty books and hundreds of articles. Abdul Munir Mulkhan was born in East Java.
