Abu Tyyab Muhammad Shams Al Haq

Islamic scholar. Well versed in Qur'an, Hadith, Jurisprudence and known as Muhaddith Dianwi and Allamah Azimabadi, Abu Tyyab Muhammad Shams Al Haq, authored many books including 'Awn-al-M'abud' and 'Ghayat-al-Maqsud'. His fine taste of writing is documented in his commentaries, researches, correctness and review of books of Hadith. His own writing on Fiqh, Ifta', Rijal, history, memoirs and biography shows his deep and vast knowledge. Apart from teaching, Allamah Azimabadi preached as well. He persuaded people to look up to Allah and distance themselves from innovations of belief and thought leading to Bid'ah - pagan customs and sinful habits. Allama Azimabadi was an active member of Jama'at-e-Ahle-e-Hadith that was founded in December 1906, at Arrah, Bihar. Its head office was established in Delhi under the first presidentship of Maulana Hafiz Abdullah Gazipuri. Fond of collecting books, Allamah's personal library was then considered to be India's one of the best. Abu Tyyab Muhammad Shams Al Haq was born in Patna, India.
