Baba-e-Pushto ghazal A restless soul whose life was embedded in verses of Pushto poetry and Sufism Amir Hamza Khan Shinwari authored 35 books - novels, literary features, short stories, dramas and critical and satirical essays - and earned the coveted title of 'Baba'. He groomed three generations of poets and writers and enriched Pushto literature. Shinwari penned more than 250 plays and dramas, based on social and reformative themes, for the radio, depicting Pakhtoon society. He also wrote the storylines for a couple of popular Pushto movies - Paighla and Alaqaghair. Amir Hamza Khan Shinwari was born in Landikotal.
