Former editor of the Dawn The journalistic career of Ahmad Ali Khan that spanned five decades began in 1945 in Bhopal with 'Tarjuman' then in 1946 in Delhi with the Dawn and finally ended in Karachi in 2004 as its chief editor. While he was with the Dawn for nearly 42 years Ahmad Ali Khan also served, in between, as editor of the Pakistan Times, Lahore. Ahmad Ali Khan who was an embodiment of integrity, graciousness and professional excellence was born in Bhopal and died of cardiac complications in Karachi.
