Al Amili

Birth:1546

Death:1621

Many-sided genius. Al-Amili was perhaps the last in the line of the universal Muslim figures of learning whose genius touched every field of knowledge from Mathematic and philosophy to architecture and landscape design. Al-Amili was a remarkable many-sided genius personality who not only was a theologian and a Sufi, but also a well-known mathematician and an authority on occult sciences. He revived the study of mathematics and wrote treatise on mathematics and astronomy to summarise the works of earlier masters. Al-Amili was born Baha-al-Din al-Amili in Ballbek (Lebanon).
