Pakistan's eminent scientist, educationist and a competent administrator. Prof Zaidi recaptured the former glory of Karachi University when he took over as vice-chancellor, in 1997, with his charm, wits and integrity. He published over hundred scientific papers and wrote several books. Prof Zaidi was born in Buland Shahr, UP, India and died in Karachi.
