Mir Syed Ali
Mir Syed Ali came from Iran to India and along with his fellow countrymen founded the Mughal School of painting. He went to India at the invitation of the Mughal King Humayoon in 1545. He and Abdus Samad were appointed to help and instruct the Indian artists to produce and illustrate the Dastan e Hamzah a colossal work consisting some 1,400 paintings.
Mir Syed Ali was born in Tabriz.
