Scholar and jurist. Gummi was a distinguished personality who was the Grand Qadi of northern Nigeria, member of World Muslim League and religious advisor to Premier of northern region, Ahmadu Bello. He authored many publications such as Al Aqidatusahiha bi Muwafikatu Sharia and Radul Azhan ila Maanul Quran (translation of Quran to Hausa language).
