A 9th generation decedent of Hazrat Ali who settled at Chist (Khurasan) and founded the Chistiya order. The Chistiya order was brought to India by Moinuddin Chisti ( - 1236) whose disciple Khawaja Qutbuddin Kakhtiyar Kaki died in 1235 and burIied near the Qutub Minar in Delhi.
