A well-known and influential politician in post-revolutionary Iran. Dr. Ataollah Mohajerani is the Head of the International Centre for Dialogue Among Civilisations and Adviser to President Khatami. He held, since 1980, high positions in Iran, which stretches a long and impressive list. He has been a vocal proponent of greater transparency, accountability, the rule of law and freedom of expression. An author, university lecturer and journalist, Dr Mohajerani has published nine works on a variety of topics, some of which have gone more than one edition. He is also a regular columnist for the Daily Etella'at. Ataollah Mohajerani was born on Arak and he represents a new generation of Iranian intellectuals.
