Qazi Mujahidul Islam

India's religious leader and scholar. His fresh study of fiqh and the founding of such an academy enhanced his stature to become later on the chief Qazi of Imarat-e-Sharia of Bihar & Orissa, and as head of India's Muslim Personal Law Board. He also served in the International Islamic Academy (KSA), Saudi Arabia and in al-Haeyata Khairyata Islamia al-Aliyata in Kuwait.
Mujahidul was born in Jalae, Darbhanga, Bihar, and authored over 35 books in Arabic and Urdu including Mujjalla Fiqh Islamia (six volumes), his magnum opus. He also established hospital, technical and educational centres in Patna, Bihar.
